CTRX 50mm Blow-Off Valve  2-Year Warranty

1. Warranty Summary

If, during this period, the BOV is found to be defective due to a manufacturing or assembly fault, CTI will, at its discretion, repair or replace the unit at no charge to the customer, excluding shipping.

2. What This Warranty Covers

This warranty applies to issues caused by manufacturing or assembly defects, including:

  • Structural defects in the valve body, piston, or internal housing
  • Manufacturing defects in machining, anodizing, or assembly
  • Premature failure of internal components seals, pistons when used within recommended specifications
  • Diaphragm/piston sticking or malfunction caused by factory assembly error
  • Any defect that prevents the valve from opening or closing properly under normal, correct installation. All repaired or replaced units carry the remainder of the original warranty period.

Blow off valves repaired or replaced under this warranty receive coverage for the remainder of the original warranty period.

3. What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

The warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:

  • Use of non-CTI components, springs, or seals
  • Disassembly performed outside CTI’s recommended service procedure
  • Modifications such as porting, polishing, anodizing, coating, or machining
  • Racing accidents, engine failures, fire, collision, or other external causes

4. Warranty Void Conditions

Warranty becomes void if:

  • The unit is opened, altered, or tampered with beyond normal maintenance
  • Identification markings or serial numbers are removed or unreadable
  • Evidence shows misuse or installation inconsistent with CTI guidelines

5. Warranty Claim Procedure

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Contact CT to obtain an RMA Number (Return Material Authorization).
  2. Provide proof of purchase (invoice, email receipt, or dealer order confirmation).
  3. Ship the BOV to CTI with the RMA number clearly marked.
  4. CTI will inspect and test the product to determine warranty eligibility.
  5. Approved warranty items will be repaired or replaced free of charge (customer covers inbound and outbound shipping).

6. Limitation of Liability

CTI’s liability is limited strictly to the repair or replacement of the Blow Off Valve. CTI is not responsible for:

  • Labor costs
  • Vehicle downtime
  • Engine or turbocharger damage resulting from improper installation or tuning
  • Incidental or consequential damages of any kind

No other expressed or implied warranties exist beyond the terms stated here.

Installation Instructions

Thank you for choosing the Comp Turbo CTRX 50 mm Blow-Off Valve (BOV). The CTRX BOV is engineered for high-boost, high-horsepower turbocharged applications and is suitable for street, strip, and motorsports use when installed correctly.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Professional installation is strongly recommended.
  • Ensure the engine is off and cool before installation.
  • Improper installation may result in boost leaks, compressor surge, or drivability issues.
  • Spring preload affects valve response but does not control boost pressure.

    WHAT’S INCLUDED

        • CTRX 50 mm Blow-Off Valve assembly
        • Pre-installed spring (matched for typical high-boost applications)
        • Multiple 1/8″ NPT vacuum/boost reference ports
        • V-band connection flange and clamp

    MOUNTING LOCATION

        • Install the BOV on the charge pipe between the turbocharger and throttle body.
        • Position the BOV as close to the throttle body as practical for fastest response.
        • Secure the BOV using the V-band clamp and ensure the flange is properly seated.

    VACUUM / BOOST REFERENCE

        • Connect the BOV reference port to a dedicated intake manifold vacuum source.
        • Do not share lines with:
          • Fuel pressure regulators
          • Boost controllers
          • Wastegates

      This ensures the fastest and most accurate valve response.

      SPRING & ADJUSTMENT

              • The CTRX 50 mm BOV is supplied with a preloaded spring designed for high-boost operation.
              • The valve should remain fully closed at idle and during cruise.
              • If the valve vents at idle or part throttle:
                • Increase spring preload slightly.
              • If compressor surge occurs on throttle lift:
                • Reduce spring preload slightly.

      Do not overtighten preload. Excessive preload may delay valve opening.

      FINAL CHECKS

              • Verify all V-bands and fittings are tight.
              • Confirm vacuum line is secure and leak-free.
              • Start engine and inspect for boost or vacuum leaks.
              • Test drive and confirm smooth throttle response and proper valve operation.
